Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center

A partnership between Ty Cobb Healthcare System, Inc., and NGTC Health Properties, LLC, a partnership involving over 60 primary care and specialty physicians, plans to build a new $52 million, 56-bed, state-of-the-art hospital in Lavonia. The new hospital will be named Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center and will replace two other hospitals now operated by Ty Cobb Healthcare, Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston and Hart County Hospital in Hartwell.

The new hospital will be built on 40 acres of undeveloped land on Clear Creek Road near I-85. The site is being developed by the physician partnership, NGTC Health Properties, which will finance construction of the hospital. Once built, the hospital will be managed and operated by Ty Cobb Healthcare System’s new operating company, Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center LLC.
