February 2007 -- The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced today that Alliance Supply and Piping, LLC (ASAP, LLC) will open a manufacturing and distribution facility in Franklin County. November 2006 -- Community leaders, Latexco, LLC, and North Georgia Technical College recently gathered to participate in the signing of a QuickStart Training Program agreement for the new 100,000 sq. ft. Latexco facility located in the Gerrard Road Industrial Park in Lavonia, . Latexco, LLC, the world’s largest producer of latex foam bedding components, is making a $10 million dollar investment in the new facility, and plans to have a workforce of approximately 40 employees by end of 2007, and up to 100 employees with a future expansion. March 2006 -- The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced today that Latexco, the world's largest producer of latex foam bedding components, will open its first U.S. latex production facility in Lavonia, Georgia.
