Franklin County is well served by physicians practicing in Royston, Lavonia, and Carnesville as well as in the adjacent communities in Hart, Madison and Elbert counties. Practicing physician specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, general and vascular surgery, urology, nephrology, ophthalmology, radiology, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, and podiatry. The hospitals emergency department is staffed 24 hours per day by physicians specializing in emergency medicine.

A number of outpatient services are also available to the citizens of Franklin County. The Ty Cobb Outpatient Rehabilitation Center and Wee Care Pediatric Center provides comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services to adults, adolescents, and children. The two services are located in Royston, and are housed in more than 20,000 square feet of specialty-designed space, which includes an aquatic therapy center. Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Center is also located in Royston and provides outpatient physical therapy services with an emphasis on orthopedic and postoperative care. The Royston Diagnostic Center, also located in Royston, provides diagnostic imaging services and well-furnished physician office space. A number of pharmacy options are available throughout the county and include privately operated local pharmacies and national chain pharmacies, all of which provide excellent customer service.

Home medical equipment and supplies services are available through several of the pharmacies and local home equipment suppliers.

Royston is also home to Brown Memorial Convalescent Center, a 144 bed nursing home, The Gables at Cobb Village, a 48 unit assisted living residence, and personal care homes. Home health services are provided by Tugaloo Home Health Agency, Caresouth Home Professionals, and Carepartners at Home.

Area Business and Industry will benefit from health and safety programs offered by HealthWorks, an occupational health and safety program provided by Ty Cobb Healthcare System, Inc. HealthWorks provides drug and alcohol screening services, OSHA safety training, other industrial health and training services.

The Franklin County Health Department, located in Carnesville, is available to assist with needs related to public health and safety.
