Franklin County has a well established medical community that includes Ty Cobb Healthcare System, Inc, a fully accredited and progressive community hospital and health system, numerous physician practices, a full compliment of pharmacies and ancillary support services, and the county health department.

Cobb Memorial Hospital, a 71 Bed acute care hospital provides a full array of inpatient and outpatient services to include obstetrics, nursery, acute and sub-acute nursing care, surgical services, emergency services, ICU, advanced diagnostic imaging, and comprehensive rehabilitation. The hospital also has a well-established pediatric rehabilitation and therapy center, an aquatic therapy center, and sleep diagnostics lab. Cobb Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and in re cent years has been recognized as both a “rural hospital of the year” and a “community Hospital of the year.”
